Skip was voted “Teacher of the Year” in the Midwest Section of the PGA in 1999, 2008 and 2015, and also achieved the title of “Junior Golf Leader” in 2000 and 2003. He has been ranked by Golf Digest as a top instructor in the State of Kansas for the past 24 years consecutively, and is ranked in the top 400 teachers in North America by Golf Magazine. Skip is also a past Lead Instructor for the ESPN Golf Schools.

BRETT MYERS, PGA
Brett has been with Ironhorse since the 2013 season. Since joining Troon, he has spent time teaching with Top 50 golf instructor Tim Mahoney in Sun Valley, Idaho and also Skip Maiwald one of the top instructors in the state of Kansas. He has experience working with players of all skill levels and ages.

CJ Stuever, PGA
CJ has been with Ironhorse since the 2025 season. CJ has been working as an assistant golf professional at TPC San Antonio the past two years, working under the 2024 Southern Texas PGA Instructor of the Year, Greg Hiller, PGA. CJ recently completed the PGA PGM program and earned his PGA Class A.

Carter Bechaz
Carter has been with Ironhorse since the 2022 season. Before joining Ironhorse Carter was a college golfer, which laid a strong foundation for his love of the game. As he completes the PGA Associate program, Carter has had the privilege of learning from one of Kansas’s top instructors, Skip Maiwald. This mentorship has greatly enhanced his skills and teaching methods. Carter has extensive experience conducting group lessons for various leagues, from junior camps to clinics for juniors, seniors, and ladies leagues. His ability to connect with players of all ages and skill levels ensures that everyone receives the guidance and encouragement they need to improve their game.
